Derby Rugby Club Looks Ahead During Summer Off-Season
Derby, June 2026 — With the competitive season now concluded, Derby Rugby Club is entering its summer off-season, providing players, coaches, and volunteers with an opportunity to reflect on the year and prepare for the challenges ahead.
While league fixtures have come to an end, activity at the club will continue throughout the summer. Planned maintenance and improvement work around the grounds, alongside social events and community activities, will help ensure the club remains a vibrant hub during the break.
Coaching staff will use the off-season to review performances and begin preparations for the 2026–27 campaign, with pre-season training expected to commence later in the summer. Players will be encouraged to maintain fitness levels ahead of their return to competitive action.
The club will also continue to welcome new players, members, and volunteers interested in becoming part of the Derby Rugby Club community.
As attention turns to the new season, the summer months will provide an important foundation for continued development both on and off the pitch.
